The three colours are - at top is saffron, in the middle is white, at the bottom is green in equal proportion & the Ashoka Chakra spokes embedded in the center. The ratio of the height to width of the flag is two to three.The Ashoka Chakra wheel spokes (the "Wheel of law" of the 3rdcentuary BC Mauryan Emperor Ashoka) signifies the historical "depth". The color of Saffron/kesari stands for patriotism (balidaan) & piety, White is for simplicity, purity &peace, Green is for agriculture (kheti), farming (kisan), greenery (hariyali) & Prosperity; the navy blue wheel in the center is the "Ashoka Chakra" the wheel of progress.  

We the youth of India should take the National Integration pledge. We Indians should Pledge that till our last breath we will fight terrorism, we will protect our Nation with all we have. Happy Independence Day !

Women play a pivotal role in the India society. Though their position remains debatable but it is undeniable that Indian women are indispensable part of the society. According to ancient preaching the mother is the essential part of the family. With time the role of the women in Indian society has undergone huge changes.Professionally qualified, excellent homemakers, economically independent and adept at handling dicey situations, the Indian women still have a long way to go. There are hundreds of Indian folk and tribal dances. Each region of India  has its own folk dance.

Mahatma Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869 in Porbanda r, Gujrat, India. He spent his life working for the cause of freeing India from the clutches of British rule, by using noble means and principles of non-violence and satyagrah. On 15 August 1947, he and his followers forced the British to leave India. Rightfully, he is called the father of the nation.His full name was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. He is known as Mahatma, meaning 'great soul', because of his work on non-violence, satyagrah and selfless service to his people.

Shri Manmohan Singh is the 14th and current Prime Minister of the Republic of India. He is the first Indian Prime Minister since Jawaharlal Nehru to return to power after completing a full five-year term. He is the first Sikh to hold the post. Singh is also the 12th Prime Minister under an Indian National Congress Government.In 2010, TIME magazine listed him among the 100 most influential people in the world. According to me India has a great future , given the unprecedented growth in Indian economy and its role in the International issues. Proud India is now riding on the wave of a great boom in Internet & Computer driven new economy of India. India has also become a nuclear power. India's security concerns have been to some extent reduced by the possession of nuclear weapons, though fears remain of an expensive Indian defense expenditure to sustain the nuclear programs. Indian culture is influencing the western world in dress, food and festivals. The Indian Diaspora is increasing in Indian economic prosperity and status. The Indian is a force to reckon with in every country because of the contribution of the Indians to the country concerned. Indian community & Indian groups are funding and giving their share in progress in many great super power countries of the world.
